“One of the first families” Summer found as a new international student was Student Open Circles—a community where she could grow, talk about the things that really matter, and learn to “live authentically and give whole-heartedly.” As we write this, we wonder who else is out there already having found Open Circle online as Summer did, looking forward to finding their place in it. And as you read this, thousands of new students are arriving on campus, many wondering “where do I belong?”
May you be inspired by these stories of finding belonging through Student Open Circles—children at LAF afterschool program giving back to SOC, students finding community and carrying this spirit of care to peers and many across the city, and alumni serving after graduation.
