A crowd young people talking to each other
Students crowd into one of our fairs for our weekly Volunteer Circles as student facilitators interview them to mentor youth, tutor children, serve at a food bank, and more. Can you feel the warmth?

“I always feel that people in Student Open Circles care about our life,” says Kanglu. The discussions about my real-life concerns “make me feel comforted and supported. It also inspires me to look around and spread such warmth to people in the community that I’m volunteering with.” In today’s uncertain world, Student Open Circles provides stu- dents like Kanglu with steady care and guidance as they navigate young adulthood and build the confidence to support others. Also in this letter, discover how mentoring children helped Ashley grow in confidence, and Meredith’s experience of being met with love and acceptance, “no matter what I say or how I show up.”

As Kanglu says, may you “experience the warmth” as you hear how your support of Student Open Circles spreads care in Kanglu, Ashley, and Meridith’s lives, as well as to many in need in Hamilton.

with warmth and appreciation,
Jeff and Marybeth
